As we head towards the peak of the holiday season, winter weather around the continental United States will remain for the next few months. But one place where you’ll find plenty of sun and warm temperatures is here in the Hawaiian Island of Oahu!
Perfect for a less-than-typical winter vacation, Oahu is a great place to spend the holidays. At Royal Star Hawaii, we understand the value of spending quality time with family over the holidays and have helped visitors from all over the world enjoy this beautiful island we call home. Where many vacation spots may slow down for the winter, there’s plenty to do on Oahu. Check out a few great activities for a holiday trip to Hawaii.
Enjoy Some Sun, Sand and Surf
The first thing most visitors want to do once they get off the plane is head straight to the beach and relax. We can’t blame them! With amazing beaches just minutes from the airport and downtown Honolulu, enjoying the sun and surf is a great way to start your holiday on Oahu.
If you’re staying in Waikiki, Kahala or anywhere else in the island, Royal Star Hawaii can help you get from the airport to the beach in no time! Our airport transfer services are great for groups of any size and are a smooth, worry-free way to start your vacation. Schedule a pickup and a Royal Star driver will meet you at the curb and have you on your way to the sand.
Check Out the Amazing Wildlife of Oahu
If you’re feeling adventurous and looking to venture a bit farther offshore, the Royal Star family offers a plethora of amazing ocean experiences. One of our signature activities is the Wild Dolphin Watch Cruise aboard the Dolphin Star, Oahu’s largest dolphin watching vessel. Choose from a BBQ lunch experience or a snorkel adventure that can’t be missed. The waters off Oahu are an incredible 78 degrees in December so don’t forget to pack a swimsuit!
Explore the Rich History of the Island
Oahu, like the rest of the Hawaiian Islands, has a rich history. December is a unique time on the island with the commemoration of the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day on December 7th. We have been honored to take visitors on a guided tour throughout this historic site. With tours at the Arizona Memorial and the Battleship Missouri, a visit to Pearl Harbor is a truly memorable experience.
